Partnering agencies are being sought to test these systems in the field.

Two counties in northern Minnesota have expressed interest in using the USNG marker system as a test for marking trails. initial meetings are scheduled for November. More information on these events as they unfold.

A suitable test area in the city is currently being defined for the marker system.

The Emergency Prepardness Committee of the Minnesota Geospatial Information Office, has acted as a promotional entity related to outreach for the USNG marking system, as well as developing the standards related to how the markers should look.
